Port-Wide Baseline Carbon Assessment Interactive Map
About the Interactive Map
The Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority wanted a tangible interactive map to display the results of the port-wide baseline carbon assessment on a publicly available interactive. The interactive map increases the transparency of operators in the region, showing the carbon footprint of each terminal, alongside their location on the Detroit River or River Rouge. Further, this showcases the progress of the Port of Detroit region and provides updates on successful carbon reduction for individual terminals as they pursue net zero by 2040 for their port operations.
The map will be updated annually with each terminals updated emissions, and any successful emissions reduction strategies implemented will be noted to point to the efforts being taken by these organizations.
